( NEW PLL REGISTRAR ENGLAND )

Please don't forget to add your written permission in english,
a 5 generation pedigree and the doctors attest (if at hand).

Zowel in Amerika als ook in Engeland is men al jaren bezig om de genetische marker voor PLL te vinden,
in 2005 is er besloten een wereldwijde PLL lijst samen te stellen,
zodra deze er is kunt u deze op onze site vinden.

Helaas hebben wij een naar bericht uit Amerika,
The Dutchman FFP, Geb: 2002-08-23
is bij de jaarlijkse check-up gediagnosteerd met
SUBLUXATIE AAN BEIDE OGEN.

** Allthough people say that it has to be Nina of new Galloway of beeing the carrier,
but ... she is pure standardbred.no mini's in her line.
In France they had until 2003 only 1 studbook for bullterriers;
after 1 year they have to be measured ;
everything under 40 cm is minibull and everything over 40 cm = standardbull.
On the pedigree there stands; race : Bull terrier ;
Taille; (= Hight) miniature or standard according the measurement of the judge -40cm or + 40 cm
Holly ( Simply Black of new Galloway ) the mother of The Dutchman FFP
is bred from Nina x Thono Odham of the Dutch Bulls farm, and
De stamboom van Petey ( the Dutchman FFP ) laat zien dat hij in lijn is gefokt met
Thono Odham of the Dutch Bulls farm
uit 2 Schardale honden.

Omdat ,men ons altijd vertelde dat uit een standaardbull NOOIT een lijder kan komen ,
meenden wij deze combinatie te kunnen doen,
ook al omdat er van australische zijde volgens de fokker van de honden pas in de 3e lijn een drager voorkwam.

Deze ervaring leert ons nu, dat dit dus volgens de mendeltheorie niet waar is;
er moet meer PLL voorkomen,
omdat niet alleen een hond uit onze kennel Sub Luxatie heeft,
maar ook andere nakomelingen van zowel Thono Odham of the Dutch Bulls Farm als zijn broer Merlin of The Dutch Bulls Farm
PLL kinderen gebracht heeft.
Van de andere honden is bij ons niets bekend .

Just wanted to share with those of you who don't already know, that my best boy Petey was diagnosed as subluxated in both eyes on 8/14. I have added the information to this database and it will also be added to the universal list done by the MBTCE. Right now he is in a very early stage of subluxation, in no pain and still his happy-go- lucky self. Petey is officially, "The Dutchman from Friar's Point"- pedigree and more information is available on his breeder's website: http://www.minibull.net/ or on mine: http://www.nycminibulls.com. We will be contributing to the DNA bank in hopes that his misfortune can be a help in finding a marker for this disease. Please also note that Petey's dam is an interbred, so PLL can and does strike even those with interbred parents.

Today is Petey's third birthday, so in spite of this sad news we will be celebrating almost 3 years of having him as a part of the family. I am thankful to have such a special boy, he is everything a mini should be to me in terms of personality and character. He is extremely silly, always looking for fun, never met a person or animal he didn't like, loves to snuggle, but totally fearless and confident. I adore him and I hope he'll be with us for many years to come. Happy birthday, Pete! Vanessa

Ik hoop dat dit een op zichzelf staand geval is ,
gelukkig is er met de teef niet meer gefokt en heeft geen van haar nakomelingen kinderen ,
dus we hopen dat de schade beperkt blijft ,
zowel voor de honden die een nakomeling zijn van de genoemde honden , als hun eigenaars .
We zullen nog voorzichtiger moeten omgaan met het plannen van een nest .

In ieder geval hopen we dat door dit verhaal mensen zich ervan bewust worden hoe belangrijk
EERLIJKHEID EN OPENHEID VAN GEZONDHEIDSZAKEN is.
